BLACKPINK’s Lisa has officially broken three Guinness World Records!

On January 24, Guinness World Records confirmed that BLACKPINK’s Lisa has achieved three more record titles as a solo artist.

When Lisa made her solo debut with “LALISA” in September 2021, she officially broke the record for the most YouTube music video views by a solo artist in 24 hours after reaching an impressive 73.6 million views. Her new Guinness World Records titles include the first K-pop solo winner at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) for Best K-pop Video and the first K-pop solo winner at the 2022 MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs) for Best K-Pop .

Additionally, at the 2022 EMAs, BLACKPINK won Best Performance in the Metaverse with “Ready for Love” and earned the group’s Guinness World Records title as the first winner of the category.

Lisa’s third new title is for most Instagram fans for K-pop artists. As of January 19, 2023, Lisa had 86.3 million followers, increasing to 87 million as of January 26 KST, making her Instagram account the 38th most followed on the platform.

As of January 2023, BLACKPINK holds three Guinness World Records titles as a group, including the band’s most subscribers on YouTube, the first K-pop group to reach #1 on the UK Albums Chart (female), and the first K-pop group to reach #1 position on the US Albums Chart (Female).

Earlier this week, Lisa earned a Premio Lo Nuestro solo nomination for “SG,” a collaboration with DJ Snake, Megan Thee Stallion and Ozuna. In early January, BLACKPINK became the first female K-pop act to receive a BRITs nomination and a nod for Best International Group. This summer, BLACKPINK is set to become the first ever K-pop artist to headline America’s famous Coachella music festival.
