BlockBerryCreative announced Chuu’s removal from LOONA.
On November 25, the agency released the following statement:
Hello. This is BlockBerryCreative.
We are releasing a statement to inform fans that we have decided that our agency artist Chuu will be suspended and withdrawn as a member of LOONA from November 25th, 2022.
Last year, there were many speculations about LOONA’s Chu, but the agency and members of LOONA did not release any statements in order not to cause problems for the group’s growth or cause fans to worry.
With LOONA members’ affection for the team and consideration for their fans, instead of saying what is true or not, they tried to express their feelings by putting their best effort into performances and content.
However, after we were recently told about Chuu’s abusive language and abuse of power towards our staff, the truth was discovered during the investigation. The agency representatives are apologizing and consoling the staff and we have decided to take responsibility for this and remove Chua from LOONA.
First of all, we officially apologize to the staff who were very hurt by this incident, and we will make every effort so that they can now recover and focus on treatment and then return to their normal lives.
We apologize to the fans who have loved and supported LOONA until now, and ask for your sincere forgiveness that we couldn’t have 12 members together until the end.
The agency and LOONA will go back to our roots and work as hard as possible to ensure that an incident like this never happens again in the future no matter what. The members of LOONA didn’t just work for their individual gains, and they know what the fans gave them to get them to this point, so they didn’t do anything to cause trouble for the team. They will make it to the end and give it back for the love from everyone who supports LOONA.
The agency and members of LOONA will also act with respect and gratitude towards all employees who work with us. The agency will do everything in its power to repay the sacrifices and dedication of the staff so that something like this never happens again. Once again, we apologize to the staff and fans involved for causing problems with this incident.
In June, BlockBerryCreative denied rumors of Chua signing with another agency. In October, there were reports that Chuu had started her own agency, to which BlockBerryCreative also commented, “The rumors of her transfer are unfounded.
