Synopsis:
Ye Ling Shuang and Qi Hai Rui are close friends who grew up together in Ye Bei Grasslands. Although Ye Ling Shuang was considered an outsider of the grasslands and hated by her fellow tribesmen, the Seventh Princess Ye Bei, Qi Hai Rui never looked down on her and treated her as her close friend. Ye Ling Shuang decides to pledge his lifelong loyalty to the princess.
In order to attack and conquer Ye Bei, Emperor Gao of the Chao Kingdom devised a plot where he asked for Qi Hai Rui’s hand in marriage. He was certain that Qi Hai Rui would reject the marriage proposal, so he used this as an excuse to incite war. To save her kingdom and people, Qi Hai Rui decides to commit suicide by jumping off a cliff. Ye Ling Shuang, seeing her close friend dying and Ye Bei’s kingdom crumbling, vows revenge and adopts a new identity as Bai Lu to sneak into the palace in an attempt to assassinate Emperor Gao.
