The action movie “The Point Men” is getting ready for its North American premiere!

“The Point Men” depicts the story of people who go to Afghanistan to rescue Korean missionaries who are being held hostage by the Taliban. In this movie, the Korean government sends an experienced diplomat Jeong Jae Ho (Hwang Jung Min) to handle the situation. Once he arrives, he will ask for the cooperation of the Afghan government and use any means possible to free the hostages. However, his efforts come to naught and he is forced to work with National Intelligence Service agent Dae Sik (Hyun Bin), who is an expert on the Middle East. The two become unlikely allies in a race against time to rescue the hostages.

The film is helmed by director Yim Soon Rye, who previously made films such as “The Whistleblower” and “Little Forest.” She shared her new film “It’s a story about the plight of people saving people” and explained how she focuses on the stories of people running to save people rather than the dichotomy between good and evil.

“The Point Men” recently had its Korean premiere on January 17th, and will also hit theaters in the United States and Canada on January 27th (local time). Check here to find out if the movie is coming to a theater near you.
