NCT DREAM’s latest album has become an official “million seller” for the third time this year alone!

On December 19, NCT DREAM released the physical version of their winter special mini album “Candy” (following the digital release of the album’s songs last Friday).

According to Hanteo Chart, by 13:05 KST on December 21st, “Candy” had already surpassed 1 million album sales – meaning the album took barely two and a half days to reach the milestone. (Just a few hours later, the album had already sold over 1.2 million copies.)

“Candy” is now NCT DREAM’s fastest album to ever cross the 1 million sales mark, breaking the group’s own record as SM Entertainment’s fastest album to sell a million copies.

In addition, NCT DREAM has now become the only artist to surpass 1 million sales with three different albums in 2022, according to Hanteo Chart data: before “Candy,” the group sold over a million copies of both “Glitch Mode” and its repackaged versions. Beatbox” earlier this year.

This feat is all the more impressive given that “Candy” is a winter album and “Beatbox” is a repackaged album, both of which tend to sell less than regular albums.

“Candy” is also NCT DREAM’s fifth album overall to sell over one million copies according to Hanteo Chart data, making NCT DREAM only the third artist in Hanteo history to have five million album sales (after BTS and SEVENTEEN).

In addition to impressive album sales, “Candy” also performed well on the digital music charts. Last weekend, the title track “Candy” reached No. 1 on Melon’s Top 100, making it only the third boy group song to top the chart in 2022 (following BIGBANG’s “Still Life” and “Yet to Come ”) by BTS. The song also reached #1 on Genie, Bugs, and Vibe, and continues to rank in the top five on all major real-time Korean music charts.

Congratulations to NCT DREAM!
