NCT’s Haechan will take a break from promotion due to health issues.
On January 6, NCT’s agency SM Entertainment released the following statement explaining Haechan’s current health status and subsequent rest period:
Hello.
This is to inform fans about member Haechan’s health and absence from scheduled activities.
Haechan recently had abnormal conditions such as heart palpitations, chest pressure, and more, so he went to the hospital with his manager and received a consultation and examination, where he received medical advice that treatment and rest were necessary. Since Haechan’s recovery is most important, he will not participate in the planned activities for now and plans to recover during rest.
As a result, Haechan has decided not to participate in planned activities starting next week, and we will let you know later when it is confirmed that he will continue with his plans. We sincerely apologize to fans for causing concern and ask fans to kindly understand that this is a decision made for Haechan’s health.
We will do our best to work hard and support Haechan so that he can greet fans with a healthier image.
Thank you.
On the same day, DREAM MAKER USA confirmed that Haechan will not be participating in NCT 127’s upcoming Latin American and US tour stops. Read their statement below:
Please note that Haechan will not be able to participate in NCT 127’s 2nd ‘NEO CITY: USA & LATIN AMERICA – THE LINK’ tour due to health issues.
Eight members are therefore scheduled to participate in the US/Latin America concerts. We ask for your kind understanding.
Thank you.

Haechan recently promoted with NCT DREAM following the release of their new remake track ‘Candy‘. At the end of the month, NCT 127 will be making a comeback with their upcoming repackage album ‘Ay-Yo’.
We wish Haechan a speedy recovery!
