
NewJeans continue to push the Billboard charts with “Ditto”!
On January 9th local time, Billboard announced the latest Top 10 charts for their Global 200 and Global Excl. US Charts Showing NewJeans Highest Rating Ever!
Both Global 200 and Global Excl. The US charts began in September 200 and “ranked songs based on streaming and sales activity collected from more than 200 territories worldwide”. While Global 200 includes data from around the world, Global Excl. The US chart takes into account data from territories excluding the United States.
For this week Global Excl. US chart, “Ditto” prior to the release of NewJeans jumped from its previous peak of No. 11 all the way to No. 4. From the week of December 30 to January 5, the track accumulated 41.9 million streams (up 12 percent) and sold 3,000 units (up 35 percent) in all regions outside the United States. This marks NewJeans’ first top 10 hit on the chart, with their previous entries including “Hype Boy” (peaking at #32), “Attention” (peaking at #34) and “Cookie” (peaking at #198).

NewJeans’ “Ditto” earned the group another Billboard milestone with their first-ever top 10 hit on the Global 200! From December 30 to January 5, “Ditto” amassed 46.5 million streams (up 12 percent) and sold over 4,000 units (up 41 percent) worldwide, rocketing the song to No. 8 on its previous peak at No. 26. “Ditto” is now NewJeans’ third and highest charting hit on the chart, following “Hype Boy” (#52) and “Attention” (#54).
