Park Min Young’s agency released a statement regarding the current investigation into the actress’ ex-boyfriend and businessman Kang.
Last September, when Park Min Young was starring in her latest drama “Love in Contract,” Dispatch reported that the actress was in a relationship with wealthy businessman Kang and also made various allegations against him. Hook Entertainment released a statement at the time to clear up the rumours, revealing that the actress had broken up with her boyfriend.
On February 15, Hook Entertainment released a new statement explaining that Park Min Young was summoned by the prosecution earlier on February 13 as a witness for the ongoing investigation. The actress is reported to have denied any involvement in the situation.
The full statement is as follows:
Hello. This is Hook Entertainment.
We will inform you about our agency’s subpoena for the prosecution of actress Park Min Young for investigation and travel ban as reported in the press on February 14th (Tuesday).
Park Min Young has dutifully been completely subpoenaed by the prosecution for investigation as a mere witness, and we confirm that she is currently not banned from leaving the country.
We apologize for delivering bad news during these difficult times and apologize for the delay in our response to this [problem].
Currently, Park Min Young is in talks to star in the new period drama “Marry My Husband” (literal title).
