Coupang Play’s upcoming series “The Bait” has released a new poster and trailer!

“The Bait” is a crime thriller that follows a lawyer turned homicide detective as he searches for the truth behind unsolved past cases by investigating current crimes. The series marks Jang Keun Suk’s first drama role in five years and will also star Heo Sung Tae and Lee Elijah. Jang Keun Suk stars as Goo Do Han, a detective determined to uncover the truth after Noh Sang Cheon (Heo Sung Tae), the culprit of South Korea’s biggest fraud case, is named as a suspect in the current murder case. although he is said to have died eight years ago.

The new poster features Detective Goo Do Han, who persistently digs into the murder case, and Cheon Na Yeon (Lee Elijah), a reporter who joins Goo Do Han in uncovering the truth behind the case.

Images of a gory murder scene, a note framing the murder of Noh Sang Cheon, who is known to have already died, a crowd cheering for someone, and a person engulfed in flames surround the characters like puzzle pieces.

These puzzle pieces are assembled to complete the silhouette of Noh Sang Cheon, who is known to be the worst swindler in the history of crime. In particular, Noh Sang Cheon and Goo Do Han’s faces are attached next to each other, foreshadowing an intense confrontation between them.

Meanwhile, the second trailer that was released along with the poster shows the main pillars of the story. The clip opens with a scene in which a mysterious assailant appears deep in the forest and kidnaps someone. Eight years later, Noh Sang Cheon, who is known to have died, is named as a suspect in a murder case, and Detective Goo Do Han begins to investigate the case. When a voice says, “Maybe it’s not Noh Sang Cheon who’s doing the killing right now,” the trailer’s atmosphere takes another turn. The characters take turns saying, “People who deserve to die,” “We all die together,” and “I didn’t kill them,” suggesting that there are more people involved in the murder case besides Noh Sang Cheon.
