Kim Min Kyu is stuck in a battle with himself in the new teaser of “The Heavenly Idol”!
Based on tvN’s popular webtoon and web novel, “The Heavenly Idol” is an upcoming fantasy drama starring Kim Min Kyu as High Priest Rembrary, who suddenly wakes up one day to find himself in the body of Woo Yeon Woo, a member of the failed idol group Wild Beast.
The newly released third trailer for “The Heavenly Idol” shows a funny fight between High Priest Rembrary and idol Woo Yeon Woo who mysteriously switched bodies. High Priest Rembrara calmly suggests that they return to their original selves, but Woo Yeon Woo is quick to deny him.
When Woo Yeon Woo decides to remain a priest, High Priest Rembrary has no choice but to adapt to his new life as a failed idol if he wants to survive. He does so with the help of Kim Dal (Go Bo Gyeol), Woo Yeon Woo’s #1 fan, who becomes Wild Animal’s manager.
However, this proves to be quite a task as High Priest Rembrara struggles to grasp the group’s choreography, standing awkwardly on stage in the middle of the performance and shocking with his atrocious attempt at acting. To top it all off, High Priest Rembrary is horrified to see the salad the group is given to eat, and even wonders if they’ve mistakenly received bird feed.
After some time, High Priest Rembrary gets to grips with his new career and confidently expresses his determination to succeed. Accepting his unexpected fate, he comments, “Being an idol is definitely my path,” as Kim Dal and their agency staff proudly cheer him on.
At the end of the clip, Lee Jang Woo made his first appearance as Shin Jo Woon, who is obsessed with the King of Darkness. He cryptically threatens with a smirk, “Let’s have fun in this world too.” His eyes glow red as shots of a shocked High Priest flash, raising questions about their connection.
