The long-awaited trailer for ‘Forbidden Marriage’ is finally here!
Based on the web novel of the same name, “The Forbidden Marriage” will star Kim Young Dae as King Yi Heon, who falls into such deep despair after the death of his wife that he ends up banning weddings in his kingdom. Seven years after losing his wife (played by IZ*ONE’s Kim Min Ju), who was then the crown princess, he encounters a con artist named So Rang (Park Ju Hyun), who claims that she may be possessed by the spirit of the deceased princess.
The trailer is short but heavy, with the powerful words “The Queen will be chosen, so all marriages are forbidden” rumbling like thunder as the approaching storm approaches. King Yi Heon looks on with sharp determined eyes, his own ghosts from the past weighing him down as the decree descends upon his land.
The scene then cuts to Lee Shin Won (Kim Woo Seok) who is shocked to see the decree presented to him in writing after he just came from the wedding ceremony.
So Rang’s reaction to the decree is quite different. A sly smile appears on her face as she begins to form her plan. He ends up running into Lee Shin Won, who asks, “Have you ever almost gotten married in the past?” He answers with a simple and shy “No”.
What will happen to these people when the kingdom falls under such a strict law?
