JTBC’s upcoming drama “The Interest of Love” showcased the rollercoaster daily life of its two leads!
“The Interest of Love” is a romantic drama about four individuals with different interests who meet at Yeongpo KCU Bank branch and understand the true meaning of love. Yoo Yeon Seok plays Ha Sang Soo, a man who wants nothing more than normalcy as he goes through each day with an unshakable attitude. But the stable hold on his emotions and thoughts begins to waver when he falls in love with his co-worker Ahn Soo Young (Moon Ga Young), who won’t give her heart to just anyone.
The newly released teaser depicts the rough daily life of bank employees. It begins with So Kyung Pil (Moon Tae Yoo) telling Ha Sang Soo, “The bank is not the workplace of the gods. The bank is God and we’re just nobody.” From rude reprimands to dealing with irrational customers demanding their money back, the trailer shows the four leads – Ha Sang Soo, Ahn Soo Young, Park Mi Kyung (Geum Sae Rok) and Jung Jong Hyun (Jung Ga Ram) – and their colleagues who try to end each day in peace.
Amidst all the chaos, Ha Sang Soo and Ahn Soo Young seem to be helping each other when they first joined the bank and learned how to do their jobs. However, just before their friendship and potential romance can fully blossom, their love chemistry completely devolves into snide remarks and awkward tension. The text between the scenes heralds a change in their relationship: “When even our customer and our duties are unclear, can love become a sure thing?”
Nearing the end, Ha Sang Soo then tries to petty point out Ahn Soo Young’s mistakes sarcastically: “I see you printed it in 11 font size. This customer has presbyopia so if the font is small they will throw tantrums, I guess you didn’t know that? to which Ahn Soo Young proudly rebuts, “They had Lasik surgery a month ago and now have good eyesight. I guess you didn’t know that?”
